The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday processed over 15 lakh mutual fund transactions on its newly migrated NSE MF Invest Platform, recording its highest ever figures in a single day.
In a press statement, NSE credited the feat to the members and distributors operating on the platform. “This milestone would not have been possible without the trust and support of our Members and Distributors. Your cooperation during the transition phase has been invaluable in achieving this success,” it said.
NSE MF has been designed for the mutual fund distributors to offer a compelling value proposition by adopting the best industry features and beyond. The platform endeavours to deliver a comprehensive solution with unique user benefits to address the evolving needs of the MF industry and empanel the MF Distributors to use the stock exchange infrastructure albeit with lesser financial and compliance requirements.
Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) today released data for the August month where equity mutual fund inflows declined 22% to Rs 33,430 crore in August, down from Rs 42,702 crore in July. Inflows in August 2024 were Rs 38,239 crore.
Flexi cap funds topped the charts, receiving the highest inflow of Rs 7,679 crore among the 11 sub-categories. It was followed by midcap funds which received inflow of Rs 5,330 crore in the said time period. Meanwhile, smallcap funds received an inflow of Rs 4,992 crore.
Sectoral and thematic mutual funds received a total inflow of Rs 3,893 crore. The dividend yield fund saw an outflow of Rs 174 crore in August.The AMFI data revealed most categories witnessing a decline in inflows on a monthly basis except for largecap funds, midcap funds, and flexicap funds. The categories registered a growth of 33%, 3%, and 0.3% respectively.
