Letter to the editor: American economy remains strong

America is still the place to put your money and where to make investments. We have a strong economy, almost full

employment and many places still begging for workers. The Fed keeps raising interest rates to tame inflation and the expectation has been it would throw us into a recession. Hasn’t happened yet and doesn’t look like it is on the horizon.

Years ago it was recommended to diversify and put money in foreign stocks, which I did. They have underperformed. Say what you will about our politics (polarized and often a cir

cus) the economy stays strong and most Americans are helping to keep it that way. We are an enterprising nation and it shows.
