Kanye West Shocks With Surprise Apology in Full-Page Wall Street Journal Ad

Kanye West has surprised fans — both former and current — by taking out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal addressing his history with antisemitism.

Titled “To Those I Hurt,” the rapper looks to make amends with the Jewish community after the damage caused by his previous remarks. In recent years, Kanye has accused Jewish people being behind major sex scandals, such as accusations against Diddy and the #MeToo movement. He also called himself a Nazi and declared he loved Hitler in an interview with InfoWars, and in 2025, released a song titled “Heil H*tler.”

In the ad Kanye blames a near-fatal car crash 25 years ago for his offensive remarks. He claims the accident damaged his prefrontal cortex, resulting in “los[ing] touch with reality.”

“Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things I deeply regret,” Kanye continued. The musician added that the accident “does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

Kanye’s antisemitic remarks resulted in him being dropped by Adidas from his Yeezy fashion brand. His “Heil H*tler” song was removed from most streaming platforms. He was also banned from Twitter in 2022, before Elon Musk reinstated his account after his takeover.

Kanye further apologized to the African-American community after years of divisive marks. Most famously, Kanye called 400 years of slavery a “choice.”

The rapper called the Black community “unquestionably the foundation of who I am.” He added, “I am sorry to have let you down. I love us.”

In a closing statement, Kanye promised to change his ways after years marred by controversy and his fall from grace. “I’m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness,” he wrote. “I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.”
