The Nasdaq Composite’s early gain didn’t last long.

The tech-heavy index was down 0.3% after opening higher. The S&P 500 was up just 0.1%. The Dow was up 400 points, or 0.8%.

Riskier stocks were still rebounding, but some of the S&P and Nasdaq’s heaviest hitters were mixed.

The iShares Semiconductor ETF was up 1.3%, while the Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF was down on the day.

Apple, Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and Tesla were struggling. Nvidia and Amazon.com were both rising, while Microsoft was flat.
