13-time WWE reveals surprising post-retirement plans: “Wrestlers talk sh*t about our brothers and sisters”

Former WWE star Dustin Rhodes, fka Goldust, already has post-retirement plans in place. The star is currently signed to AEW.

Rhodes was a popular star in WWE under the Goldust gimmick. He won several titles, including the Intercontinental Championship, Hardcore Championship, and the Tag Team titles. He has been a prominent part of AEW since the company started back in 2019. He had some memorable feuds with several stars, including a stellar rivalry with his brother Cody Rhodes. He is also a former TNT Champion. The star lost the title to “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher back in July on AEW Collision in a brutal Chicago Street Fight.

The star answered some questions on social media this week. In response to a fan question about his future after retirement, Dustin mentioned that he was open to the idea of a podcast after hanging up his boots for good. The 56-year-old star shared that he could start a podcast, but he was certain that he would not insult the current stars in the business. The veteran wrestler noted that many podcasts and hosts speak poorly about the current generation, which only harms the business.

“Yes! When I retire in a couple, I plan on it. What I won’t do is talk bad about people in the biz. Too many podcaster/wrestlers talk sh*t about our brothers and sisters,” he wrote.

Dustin Rhodes is away from AEW due to surgery

After his match against Fletcher, Rhodes was written off TV for a while. The star needed double knee replacement surgery after years of wear and tear in the business.

The Natural underwent surgery and is currently recovering. He has been posting regular workout videos and updates for his fans. In a recent post on social media, the veteran detailed that he was working hard and positive for a comeback by February or March.
