Gold has picked up where it left off in 2025, soaring almost 9 per cent. Bullion bulls foresee further gains. Maybe so. Maybe not. Regardless, investors who benefited from the boom should now soberly reconsider. Gold investing success depends almost entirely on luck, not skill.
