Karnataka: Right-wing Activist Allegedly Chased, Killed in Shivamogga; Section 144 Imposed in District

New Delhi: Security has been heightened in and around the Shivamogga district of Karnataka after a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was allegedly murdered yesterday at around 9 pm. If reports are to be believed, section 144 has been imposed in the district as a precautionary measure. “A group of 4-5 youth murdered him. I don’t know of any organization being behind this murder. Law & order situation under control in Shivamogga. As a precautionary measure, schools and colleges in city limits have been closed for two days”, said Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
