Stop investing in natural gas. Invest more in renewable energy.

While we’re at it, we’d avoid cumulatively emitting almost a year’s worth of climate pollution from New England’s power plants, assuming current emission rates. And the economies of Connecticut, Massachusetts and other New England states stand to benefit. By recapturing some of the dollars that we’re sending out of the region to purchase gas, and instead investing it in renewable energy, we get a net gain in employment.
